J55 Casing pipe is a large-diameter steel tube used in drilling wells, primarily to stabilize the borehole, prevent collapse, and isolate different geological layers, part of the API 5CT specification. It has a minimum yield strength of 55,000 psi. The primary function of J55 casing pipe is to support the wellbore and prevent it from collapsing. It also serves as a conduit for drilling fluid and production fluids. This pipe is commonly used in shallow to medium-depth wells where pressures and temperatures are relatively low.
